Dafeng Awarded Major Project Worth Over RMB 100 Million, Contributing to a New Cultural Landmark in the Greater Bay Area

In December 2025, Dafeng successfully won the bid for Section I of the stage engineering works for the Shenzhen International Performing Arts Center, with a contract value of approximately RMB 165 million. Dafeng will provide an integrated solution covering stage machinery, lighting, and audio-visual systems for the Center’s main venue, the “Dream Theater.”

Located in the core area of the Xiangmihu New Financial Center, the Shenzhen International Performing Arts Center is a key project in Shenzhen’s ambition to build a world-class cultural metropolis. The project includes an approximately 1,800-seat “Dream Theater” and a 600-seat “Dream Space” (a multifunctional performance venue). Dafeng’s contracted Section I covers the 1,800-seat “Dream Theater,” which is designed to host a wide range of performances, including opera, dance, concerts, and variety shows. As an important exploration of the “culture + urban space” model in Shenzhen, the center is set to become a high-quality cultural hub, an art and lifestyle destination, and an international platform for performing arts exchange in the Greater Bay Area.

Dafeng will equip the project with state-of-the-art stage machinery, lighting, and audio-visual systems.

• Stage System:

The venue adopts a proscenium stage with a “pin”-shaped configuration, consisting of the main stage, left and right side stages, and a rear stage. The main stage measures 18 meters wide and 12 meters high, providing sufficient spatial capacity. The stage machinery system is divided into above-stage and below-stage sections. Below the stage, six double-layer lift platforms are installed, with a maximum lift height of 20.2 meters. Above the main stage, 60 motorized hoists are equipped, each rated for a 1000-kilogram load, supporting rapid scene changes and flexible multi-scene configurations.

• Lighting System:

The lighting system adopts a dual-console configuration with primary and backup control, supported by multi-level redundant intelligent dimming cabinets and networked data distribution cabinets. This ensures system-level redundancy and highly reliable operation. The lighting fixtures primarily consist of high color rendering index LED luminaires and effect lighting units.

• Audio System:

The audio system incorporates immersive sound reinforcement technology, utilizing array and surround loudspeakers to create full spatial coverage. This enables deep integration between architectural acoustics and electroacoustic systems, delivering a highly realistic and immersive auditory experience.

Leveraging its comprehensive strengths in technology and intelligent manufacturing, along with extensive project experience, Dafeng will contribute to the successful realization of the Shenzhen International Performing Arts Center.

In Shenzhen, Dafeng has participated in the development of numerous major cultural facilities, including the Shenzhen Coastal Cultural Center, Longgang International Arts Center, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Guangming Culture and Art Center, Bao’an Workers’ Cultural Palace, Pingshan Grand Theatre, Baguang Culture and Sports Center, and the Arts Building of Shenzhen University.
