In January 2026,Dafeng received a letter of appreciation from the People’s Government of Xinwu District, Wuxi. As the core provider of stage engineering systems, Dafeng contributed to the Wuxi Symphony Hall, which successfully hosted its first major performance following its opening on New Year’s Day 2026, the New Year Concert “Moon over Taihu Lake: A Symphonic New Beginning.” Dafeng delivered integrated solutions covering stage machinery, lighting, and audio systems for key spaces including the 1500-seat symphony hall, a 500-seat multifunctional hall, rehearsal rooms, and the Tianyin Cube children’s theatre.
The Wuxi Symphony Hall is a key cultural infrastructure project for the city, with a total investment exceeding RMB 2.2 billion. Located in the Taihu Bay Sci-Tech City of Wuxi High-Tech Zone, the project follows a “one hall, two centers” master plan, comprising a symphony hall, a multifunctional hall, and rehearsal spaces, along with supporting facilities such as an arts exchange center and a performing arts commercial complex. Centered on cultural performances, the project integrates public services, artistic exchange, and leisure functions, aiming to create a future-oriented cultural complex for the city.

Symphony Hall: A High-Standard Space for Professional Performance
The 1500-seat symphony hall is primarily designed for orchestral performances, while also accommodating large-scale concerts and major artistic events. The performance area features 13 independently adjustable curved platform risers, which can be flexibly configured to suit different orchestra sizes and performance formats, meeting international standards for symphonic performances.
Overhead rigging systems, including lighting bars and screen hoists, adopt a detachable design that allows for full retraction when not in use, maintaining a clean and refined visual environment across different usage modes. The stage lighting system is equipped with primary and backup controls as well as multi-level redundancy, while the sound system integrates closely with the architectural acoustics, enabling precise sound reinforcement while preserving the natural acoustic characteristics of the hall. Together, these systems provide stable and reliable technical support for high-quality performances.

Multifunctional Hall: A Highly Flexible Space for Diverse Scenarios
The 500-seat multifunctional hall is designed for maximum spatial flexibility. Through the coordinated use of 10 lifting platforms beneath the stage and 11 motorized hoists above, the space can be rapidly reconfigured into multiple stage formats, including end-stage, thrust stage, transverse stage, and T-stage layouts.
By adjusting the lifting platforms, the space can flexibly balance stage dimensions and audience capacity, supporting performances, conferences, and various events. The lighting suspension system adopts a shadow-free grid structure, enabling high load capacity, concealed support, and efficient lighting setup across different scenarios. The lighting system is optimized for various stage configurations, significantly enhancing space utilization and long-term operational value.
Tianyin Cube (Children’s Theatre): A Modular Space for Creative Content
As a key functional space within the complex, the Tianyin Cube is designed primarily as a children’s theatre, while also supporting immersive performances such as drama, stand-up comedy, and traditional crosstalk. The stage system features a modular design combining assembled stage platforms and movable steps, allowing rapid setup and reconfiguration. This flexible system supports diverse performance formats and evolving content needs.
The completion and opening of the Wuxi Symphony Hall mark a significant milestone in Wuxi’s ambition to build its identity as a “City of Music,” while also signaling a new stage in the development of the city’s cultural infrastructure. Looking ahead, Dafeng will continue to leverage innovative technology and enabling services to support the upgrading of urban cultural functions, contribute to the realization of more high-quality cultural landmark projects, and promote the high-quality development of the culture, sports, and tourism industries.
