In February 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the list of proposed key international cooperation projects for the cultural and tourism industries under the Belt and Road Initiative for 2025–2026. Dafeng’s project, “Design and Development of Intelligent Stage Equipment Systems for the National Theatre of Tajikistan,” was successfully selected, highlighting the company’s comprehensive strength in high-end equipment and international cultural development.

Dafeng’s intelligent stage equipment and control systems have previously been successfully applied on the stage of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, enabling flexible stage transformations and creating immersive spaces that integrate digital and physical experiences. These innovations, representing the advanced level of China’s stage technology, will now be introduced to Tajikistan to support local public cultural life.

At the end of 2024, Dafeng initiated cooperation with the National Theatre of Tajikistan on stage machinery systems. From overall design and engineering construction to the selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, acceptance, and evaluation of stage machinery, lighting, audio, performance monitoring systems, curtains, seating, and other professional equipment, Dafeng has provided comprehensive services. This end-to-end approach brings “Chinese technology” to empower cultural development in Central Asia.

By delivering high-quality stage machinery systems and its self-developed Dafeng STACON Stage Control System, Dafeng ensures that the theatre can achieve complex and visually compelling stage effects. In the future, artists performing at the National Theatre of Tajikistan will be able to rely on Chinese-developed technologies and equipment to present outstanding performances on one of the country’s most important cultural stages.

The National Theatre of Tajikistan project is recognized as a landmark international project under the Belt and Road Initiative and is also a commemorative project marking the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence in 2026. Upon completion, the theatre is expected to host the first Central Asia International Arts Festival, with invitations extended to Chinese artists, further promoting cultural exchange and cooperation between China, Tajikistan, and the broader Central Asian region.

The series of selected projects from Zhejiang Province reflects a clear transition in the province’s cultural industry from “exporting products” to “deep engagement in international markets.” As an active participant in Zhejiang’s cultural industry, Dafeng will continue to integrate its efforts into this global development process.
