In Shenzhen’s central Longhua district, a brand-new cultural landmark complex has quietly emerged. The Longhua Grand Theatre, Arts Center, and Library (now known as the Luhu Art Center), constructed by Dafeng, are nearing their official opening. As the largest cultural facility complex in Longhua to date, its completion will significantly enhance the regional public cultural service system. Dafeng is responsible for the project’s core systems, including stage machinery, professional lighting and audio, and seating.
The Luhu Art Center’s architecture has already received international recognition, including the Best Public Building in the Asia-Pacific award. The Grand Theatre features a 1363-seat main auditorium and a 540-seat black box mid-sized theatre; the Arts Center includes a 352-seat small theatre, a 240-seat international conference hall, and exhibition spaces; the Library project comprises a 240-seat lecture hall and reading rooms. These facilities accommodate a full spectrum of cultural activities, from top-tier performances and art exhibitions to international conferences. The architectural design and complex internal layouts posed significant system integration challenges, which Dafeng addressed through precise, technically meticulous solutions.
The Grand Theatre adopts a proscenium-style stage design, equipped with comprehensive stage machinery both above and below the stage. This setup provides exceptional stage transformation and load-bearing capabilities, flexibly supporting musicals, ballets, dramas, traditional operas, concerts, symphonies, as well as large-scale conferences and diverse usage scenarios.
Facing the complex irregular structure and acoustic environment of the main theater, the team designed a multi-point reinforcement sound system to ensure full coverage of the sound field. Due to limited space for the main speaker array, careful fine-tuning was applied to achieve optimal audio quality. Audience seating combines three shades of gray fabric to create visual layering, and the arrangement was precisely adjusted according to the spatial layout to ensure smooth viewing flow. All equipment installations were meticulously planned to harmonize with the architectural presentation, employing concealed and embedded techniques to seamlessly integrate technology and aesthetics.
All three main, mid-sized, and small theatres employ Dafeng’s self-developed DAFENG STACON Stage Control System, whose stable and intelligent core technology ensures the flawless presentation of every performance.
The completion of the Luhu Art Center further demonstrates Dafeng’s full-industry-chain capability in empowering cultural spaces through innovative technology. Moving forward, Dafeng will continue to create high-standard, human-centered projects that integrate culture into urban life.
